CPAT Preview/Practice: Date and Location to be determined.

We recommend that you attend, but it is not required. The CPAT is strenuous and should be prepared for. Candidates will have the opportunity to see the CPAT layout and ask questions of the Test Proctors. Whether you attend or not, you must complete and mail in the CPAT Preview/Practice Waiver. Also, we strongly recommend that you download and print the CPAT Preparation Guide.

Candidates must present a valid photo identification, such as a driver's license. All materials will be provided.

Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT): Date and Location to be determined.

E-Mail and the World Wide Web: Applications for Firefighter testing can only be made online through this website. We do not use paper applications. You must have a valid e-mail address in order to receive the detailed test information that will be sent via e-mail following submittal of your online application. Take special care to insure that your e-mail address is entered correctly on the application. E-mail is our primary means of providing you with important test information, so be sure to inform us if your address changes.

Welcome to the Employment Testing Cooperative! We are a group of 11 fire departments in Southwest Florida seeking exceptionally talented, experienced and dedicated firefighters to serve the residents of our fast-growing communities.

Located in coastal Lee County, Florida, the fire departments of the ETC have mutually agreed on one application and one testing process for the positions of firefighter, firefighter/emergency medical technician and firefighter/paramedic. By applying for a firefighter position through the ETC, you will gain access to job openings from 11 fire departments on Florida's tropical west coast.

The testing process consists of the following: submitting a completed application, completing a written general aptitude test and passing a physical ability test. For more information, click on the Frequently Asked Questions button to the left.
